Cacao and Chia Protein Bites


  • 45g porridge oats
  • 2 Tbsp. gf flour
  • 1 Tbsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1 Tbsp. cacao powder or dark cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbsp. virgin coconut oil
  • 1 Tsp. pure maple syrup
  • 1 Tsp. cold-pressed rapeseed oil or avocado oil
  • 1 Tsp. cacao nibs


  1. Combine everything in a bowl until well mixed and sticking together
  2. Use your hands to shape them into round ball shapes - mixture makes 8 truffle sized balls
  3. Put in the freezer for about 10 minutes to harden, then keep in the fridge if they last beyond ten minutes!!


Makes 8 - double up to make more
